First Long Term Vape Study Gives Vaping Thumbs Up

       For a long time, vaping had very little research to show vaping is good or bad. Now we have the first long-term study of effects on ex-smokers!!!! This study was running for six months. People who stopped smoking cigarettes and started vaping had much much fewer toxins and cancer-causing agents in their bodies. This was found using saliva and urine sample analysis. Another big help was Nicotine patches. These were found to also be much safer than tobacco products. People who have been considering quitting and switching to vaping have heard a lot of claims from both sides. The health experts who conducted this study are hoping anyone considering quitting tobacco will find this information helpful in their decision to quite.

      Studies that claim vaping is as harmful as smoking are quickly being proven false, according to some experts. Another interesting result from this study shows that people are safer if they switch completely to vaping as oppose to doing both.

 

      Author Dr Lion Shahfb, from University College London, said:

"Our study adds to existing evidence showing that e-cigarettes and NRT are far safer than smoking, and suggests that there is a very low risk associated with their long-term use.”

"We've shown that the levels of toxic chemicals in the body from e-cigarettes are considerably lower than suggested in previous studies using simulated experiments. This means some doubts about the safety of e-cigarettes may be wrong."

"Our results also suggest that while e-cigarettes are not only safer, the amount of nicotine they provide is not noticeably different to conventional cigarettes.

"This can help people to stop smoking altogether by dealing with their cravings in a safer way." Hard to argue with that.

      The Cancer Research UK-funded scientists studied a total of 181 individuals including smokers and ex-smokers who had used e-cigarettes or NRT products such as patches and nasal sprays for at least six months.

      Compared with full-time smokers, e-cigarette-only users had 97% lower levels of one toxic chemical, NNAL, that is strongly associated with lung cancer.

 

      The picture is becoming more and more clear. Vaping is a dramatically healthier alternative to smoking tobacco.
